ABOUT ME
I am a Senior Research Economist at De Nederlandsche Bank since April 2024, and a Research Associate at the University of Oxford.
I received my PhD in time series econometrics from Queen Mary University of London and have a background in Statistics. In 2022-2024 I have done a Postdoc at the University of Oxford on climate change economics. My research focuses on time series, climate econometrics, applied macroeconomics, and environmental economics.
In my research projects, I explore the impact of climate change on economies, the relationship between environmental factors and macroeconomic outcomes, and how fiscal policy can foster resilience and promote sustainable development. I am interested in the effects of climate change and the green transition on the macroeconomy, and the optimal approach to environmental policy and green innovation for achieving a net-zero economy.
In my policy work, my team and I provide impactful policy advice to the Dutch government and international forums on issues related to climate policy and the competitiveness of the Dutch economy. We focus on strategies that balance environmental sustainability with economic growth.
